TEMPO.CO, Langkat - Floods submerged at least 775 homes and rice fields, and damaged a dyke in Langkat District, North Sumatra Province, according to Irwan Sahri, head of the Langkat disaster mitigation office.

The flooding was caused by incessant heavy rains which also triggered a landslide in Setungkit village, Wampu sub-district, Sahri said on Monday.
