TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan denied that there are mayors and officials who were not given position after being dismissed from their position. Anies said they will be placed as staff in the Jakarta Human Resources Development Agency (BPSDM).

According to Anies, all officials will be placed in BPSDM, unless the age is above 58 years. They will be dismissed because the civil servant retires at the age of 58 years.

“If still serving, it will be 60 years old as echelon, if not in that position, must retire, do not reverse the logic,” said Anies at Jakarta City Hall, Tuesday, July 17.

The dismissal of office and retirement was also experienced by the former East Jakarta Mayor Bambang Musyawardana and former West Jakarta Mayor Anas Effendi.

The dismissal to a number of officials by Anies Baswedan is now handled by the Civil State Apparatus Commission or the ASN Commission. The substitution of the officials has the potential to violate government laws and regulations on civil servants.
