TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Democratic Party Chairman Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) is currently being treated at the Army Hospital (RSPAD) in Gatot Subroto. The former sixth Indonesian president was admitted since Tuesday, July 17.

Democratic Party spokeswoman Imelda Sari said that SBY was exhausted after his visit to Pacitan and Yogyakarta on Monday, July 16. “The presidential team of doctors ordered SBY to take a rest for the next couple of days,” said Imelda today.

SBY’s unfit condition forced him to cancel his meeting with Gerindra Party chairman Prabowo Subianto, who both initially planned on meeting this afternoon at the Kuningan Area in Jakarta.

“Yes, it has been postponed,” said Democratic Party Secretary General Hinca Pandjaitan, though it was not mentioned when the meeting will be rescheduled. “We are looking for the perfect time for them to meet.”

Previously on Monday, July 16, Gerindra Party Deputy Chairman Ahmad Muzani said that the meeting between Prabowo and SBY will discuss the 2019 presidential election apart from national matters that include the decisions both parties will take to answer the problems that Indonesia is facing.
