TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Sunday, July 8, President Jokowi took his grandson, Jan Ethes Srinarendra to the Bird Parkin Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII). On that wonderful occasion, Jokowi introduced various types of birds to him.
For children, the bird park is really an educational park to learn about nature and its contents. So, there is nothing wrong if you also take your children to the bird park on the weekend.
In Indonesia, there are several bird parks with different collections. There are also the new ones launched this year but still have an attraction. There are at least 4 options of Bird Park. The list is as follows:
1. TMII Bird Park
The bird park is located in the area of TMII is classified as the oldest bird park because it was inaugurated in 1976. The birds are from various regions, they live in the domes that amounted to nine.
The collections are organized according to their spreading zones. There are about 175 species with collections that reach thousands of tails. This Bird Park equipped with cafeteria and fish pond is open every day at 08:00 am.
2. Bali Bird Park
With the icon of Jalak Bali bird, a bird park located in Singapadu, Gianyar also has a breeding ground like the bird park in TMII.
The collection reaches 1,000 tails, with 250 species. Not only birds of the archipelago, but also from other parts of the world such as Australia, South America and Africa. It is opened between 09:00 am and 05:30 pm. Its entrance fee for one day cost Rp385,000.
3. Palembang Bird Park
It is classified as a new bird park because it is newly operated in 2015. Currently, the collection reaches 3,000 of 10 species. Among them are starling birds, parakeets, owls, and others. All types of birds fly freely here.
Although the label is a bird park, in this tourist attraction located in the business area of Ogan Permata Indah, Jakabaring, there are also other animals, such as reptiles and fish. Its entrance ticket to the bird park is Rp50,000.
4. Bird & Bromelia Pavilion Bandung
This bird park is located on Jalan Akaza Utara No. 9 Pramestha Resort Town Complex or Dago Giri, Bandung. There are about 300 species of birds other than Bromelia ornamental leaf plants and dining areas. The birds fly freely so it can be directly invited to play by visitors.
Its entrance fee is Rp35,000 on weekdays and Rp50,000 on weekends. The operating hours start at 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, on weekends only, extended to one hour. For the souvenirs, you can shop at the souvenir shop with the characteristics of birds.
