TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Police are still investigating the chronology of persecution towards Ronny Kosasih Yuniarto allegedly committed by a House of Representatives (DPR) member Herman Hery. South Jakarta Resort Police Chief Commissioner Indra Jafar said police are still looking for witnesses to follow up Ronny’s report.

“It is still an allegation. We're still investigating the chronology and witnesses,” said Indra at the South Jakarta Police Resort on Thursday, June 21.

The police received the report on June 11 and the follow-up has just been processed today because it was halted by Eid holidays.

Police also awaited the results of Ronny's forensic examination from the South Jakarta Police referral hospital. The forensic result will come out in about two weeks.

Herman, a member of the House from the PDIP faction, was reported on alleged persecution to Ronny. Besides Ronny, his wife also became the victim of beatings by Herman's aide. The statement was delivered by Ronny's lawyer, Febby Sagita.

According to Febby, the incident occurred on Jalan Arteri Pondok Indah, South Jakarta, on Sunday, June 10, at around 9:30 to 10 pm. She explained the chronology of the incident that previously, police stopped Ronny's car for entering the Transjakarta bus lane and the police gave him a ticket.

Behind Ronny's car, Herman's Rolls-Royce also entered the bus lane and all of a sudden, Herman got out of his car and hit Ronny. Ronny did not know the reason for the beating.

Herman’s aide also got out of the car and was involved in a persecution towards Ronny. Ronny's wife, who tried to separate them, got hit by Herman’s aide. Two children of the victim, 3 and 12 years old, were crying inside the car.
