Navy Members Continue Hunt for Crocodile
Kamis, 1 Januari 1970 07:00 WIB
TEMPO.CO , Jakarta - Members of the Indonesian Naval Army continue to hunt for the crocodile that was seen around Pondok Dayung waters in Tanjung Priok last Thursday, June 14, 2018. "We try to catch the crocodile," said Chief of Information of Fleet Command I Lt. Col. Agung Nugroho on Saturday, June 16, 2018.
Members of Fleet Command I have scoured the waters around the naval base. The search even involved the North Jakarta Coast Guard.
Agung said his men have shot the crocodile. But the animal dived into the water and has not resurfaced since then.
Agung is concerned that the crocodile still exists in Pondok Dayung waters and can threaten the lives of his men because the naval army often conduct training in the area.
"Our men are not crocodile caretaker. What is important is that the crocodile can be caught," Agung said.
