Jokowi to Set Civil Servant`s THR Next Week

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Finance Ministry`s director general of budgetary Askolani said President Joko Widodo or Jokowi will announce a decision on holiday allowance (THR) and the thirteenth salary for the civil servant (PNS) next week.


Insha Allah, next week,” said Askolani in Finance Ministry building, Jakarta, Thursday, May 17.


Marwanto Harjowiryono, Director General of Treasury at the Finance Ministry, said the presidential decree (Perpres) on the matter is currently in the final stage in the State Secretary. “Perpres on THR and 13th salary is being finalized,” he said.


The distribution of THR for civil servant will start ahead of Eid al-Fitr in June, while the 13th salary will be paid in the new school academic year in July. The budget was reportedly bigger compared to last year.


Earlier, Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati stated the government planned to increase the holiday allowance for civil servant apparatus including PNS which consist of basic salary and performance allowance.


Furthermore, Manpower Minister Hanif Dhakiri has signed Circular Letter No. 2/2018 on Distribution of 2018 Religious Holiday Allowance to governors, mayors, and regents throughout Indonesia. “Based on the Manpower Ministerial Decree No. 6/2016, the payment of religious THR is an obligation that should be done by every employer to the workers,” said Hanif on May 13.
