TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati announced that the amount of tax revenues from April to January reached Rp383.3 trillion. The figure represents a 10.89 percent increase.

"This shows that our tax revenue growth is still robust," the minister said here on Thursday, May 17.

Sri said the growth was supported by the 10.34 percent non-oil and gas income tax growth as well as the 14.09-percent growth of value-added tax (VAT).

Nevertheless, Sri Mulyani admitted that January-April tax growth this year is lower than in the same period in 2017, which was quite high due to the Tax Amnesty program.

"If we exclude last year's first-period tax revenue, then this year's YOY growth is 14.88 percent," she said.
