TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - House of Representatives (DPR) Deputy Speaker Fahri Hamzah alleges that there is an intelligence operation attempting to divide the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS).

“There is a systematic attempt to divide us. The leader has taken the bait and has influenced some of us,” said Fahri through a short message to Tempo yesterday, April 18.

Fahri’s comment was a response to a document that has spread publically. The 27-page document was entitled ‘Beware of the PKS Coup Movement’ stating that the political party split into two groups named Osan and Osin.

The document states that Osan sympathizers consist of Anis Matta loyalists that are affiliated with the Sejahtera (prosperous) faction. Meanwhile, the Osin sympathizers are considered to be loyalists of the Keadilan (justice) faction.

However, Fahri denies that the Party is experiencing a divide and acknowledges that there are differences among party members but it has not divided the party into two groups. He implies that a third party is attempting to use the moment and has created the false impression to lure people into believing that the party is on the brink of a divide.

PKS politician Abdul Kharis Almasyhari admits that he is already informed of the existence of the document. However, he is not aware of the person who created it and has openly denied the contents of the documents.
