TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Bintaro flyover on Bintaro Permai Street, Pesanggrahan, South Jakarta, today began to be tested and opened for public. The test was conducted after the review by Jakarta Deputy Governor Sandiaga Uno on Monday night, 23:00 pm at the location.
“Today is just to test the road, later if it is okay, it will be inaugurated,” said Head of the Intersection Jakarta Bina Marga Heru Suwondo on Tuesday, March 6.
It extends about 400 meters from Micro Bintaro Market to Bintaro 2 Elementary School. The road is built above the Commuter train track of Kebayoran Baru Station to Pondok Ranji Station. Currently, all road construction has been completed, Heru said.
Bintaro Flyover was built for approximately one year from early 2017 using the Multiyear Regional Budget (APBD) of 2016 - 2017. The contractors are PT Multi Structure, PT Abadi Prima Inti Karya, and PT Maratama Cipta Mandiri.
Although the road is intended to avoid crossing intersection, there are still many people who cross directly on the train tracks. Some of them are elementary school students. They jumped over a stone fence mounted on the edge of the rail because of the lack of crossing bridges.
Heru said the ladder to the flyover will be built as a crossing path. It will be connected to the sidewalk along the flyover. “So the pedestrian will use this path,” he said.
