TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Beach with a holey coral is now famous as a place to take a selfie. After Tanah Lot in Bali, similar beaches now become popular among travelers.
In Indonesia, there are at least four beaches with holey corals that become popular. These are the following:
1. Mbawana Beach in Sumba
Tourists call it the Holey Stone Beach, because there is a large coral wall with a hole in the middle. The wall is more than tens of meters tall. The hole is shaped like a round door that connects two sides of the beach. The giant holey stone is a favorite spot for tourists to take pictures.
2. Uug Beach or Broken Beach in Nusa Penida
It is known as the Broken Beach. The beach is shaped like a lagoon with 50 meters high cliff that encircles it. The lagoon looks like a well if you see it from above through a drone camera.
3. Holey Stone Beach in Lombok
Holey Stone Beach (Pantai Batu Bolong) in Lombok is almost similar to Tanah Lot in Bali. Both beaches have the same temple on the reef. Hindu people in Lombok often hold a spiritual ritual at the beach.
4. Holey Stone Beach in Bali
The beach is approximately only ten minutes away, or about three kilometers, from Krobokan Highway. The Bali's Holey Stone Beach still becomes a favorite for domestic and foreign tourists. The characters are concrete and at some points, there are large corals that provide an aesthetic effect.
