TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - According to the Head of Palu City’s Health Agency Dr. Royke Abraham, there are four common diseases that can potentially ruin your days in the rainy season that Indonesia is currently experiencing.

1. The first disease is an upper respiratory tract infection or URI. The doctor explained that in order to avoid it, you must avoid getting yourself soaking wet because of the rain and consume warm beverages.

2. The second most common disease according to Doctor Royke is the dengue fever (DBD) that is mostly made worse by the bad habits adopted by some people that involve littering wastes that are able to collect water. This itself is what actually supports the dengue fever mosquitos to safely breed among human habitations.

3. The third disease is diarrhea. This can mostly come from the bad habit of leaving foods uncovered that can be infested with flies.

4. The fourth disease synonymous to the rainy season is typhus. This is one of the most lethal diseases that people can contract since it livelihood of the victim if it is not quickly medically treated.

Those are the four most common diseases in the rainy season according to Dr. Royke Abraham. We truly hope that you would successfully be able to protect yourself from all of them.
