TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Stress often occurs in daily life. The risk of a career woman who has married is higher because of too many demands, such as taking care of children, husband and the obligation to work.

A child psychologist in Brawijaya Clinic, Jakarta, Samanta Ananta says to manage stress, we have to know the symptoms first. Some of the symptoms such as the increased appetite, heart beats faster more often, and over anxiousness that cause lack of sleep.

Relaxation could help managing stress. You can try meditation or yoga. These are the things you can do to minimize the stress level:

1. Breathe deeply because when stressed, the body tends to breath faster than usual. This way can make your body relax and lessen the stress level. Try this for several times.

2. Do a yoga's child pose or sleeping on a stomach like a baby to stretch all the nerves. This could be done for 20 seconds repeatedly and help the blood circulation to your body and brain.

Exercise a bit if your body and mind are tired and bored with work. This won’t do any relaxation.

3. Treat yourself. To prevent continuous stress, go have a 'me time', which is time to spend alone with yourself, at least one in a week. Remember, never vent to Alcohol drink, drugs, and cigarettes, because it will only worsen the condition.

Moreover, never keep a problem to yourself. Try to share it with the people you trust. If you are not able to manage it by yourself or confused, consider consulting to a psychologist.
