TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) received a visit from the United Nations Secretary General's Special Advocate (UNSGA) for Finance Inclusion, Her Majesty Queen Maxima of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, today at the Merdeka Palace. This was a Queen Maxima's second visit to the palace after her first in 2016.
The Queen came accompanied by UNSGA director Eric Duflos, the UNSGA program specialist Nancy Widjaja, and the Ambassador of The Netherlands to Indonesia Rob Swartbol.
Meanwhile, President Widodo was accompanied by Foreign Minister Retno LP. Marsudi, Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Darmin Nasution, Bappenas head Bambang Brodjonegoro, Minister of State Secretary Pratikno, and Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung.
Queen Maxima arrived after 09:00 and was greeted directly by President Widodo. The two had a talk while drinking tea on the veranda of Merdeka Palace.
Prior to her visit to Jakarta, Queen Maxima was in Lampung where she visited farmers in Neglasari Village, Katibung District.
