TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Do you enjoy visiting places inspired by aerospace? Your options might not be limited to just a public airport or military airbase now. Here are six places that will satisfy your interest towards anything related to aerospace.


1. Numerous airplane collections in Muspusdirla Yogyakarta


Yogyakarta has a museum that houses a number of original and replica airplanes from World War II and Indonesia’s struggle for independence.


The Mandala Aerospace Museum Center (Muspusdirla) has a collection of 50 airplanes. Earlier in December 2017, Military Commander Air Chief Marshal Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto inaugurated four helicopters and legendary airplane as new collections of the museum.


2. Matantimali, Central Sulawesi


The Matantimali sports aerial attraction is located in West Dolo of Central Sulawesi. This spot is highly attractive for international tourists and paragliding athletes from around the globe for its stunning natural beauty.

3. Edupark, Karanganyar


In 2015, Karanganyar District government in Central Java officially opened this new educational aerospace tourism park or Edupark. It did not take long for the place to be one of the public’s favorite place to visit. The main attraction is a Boeing 737-300 airplane called Lawu Air parked inside the tourist area.


4. Batu City Paragliding


This tourist spot is located at the peak of Mount Banyak, which is very close to the city’s downtown district. It attracted more attentions after it hosted the Batu Open Paragliding back in 2011.

5. Mini-theater in Klaten


Klaten has an airplane that was transformed into a mini theatre. It is located near the Adi Sucipto Airport fishing spot, which is a name given to the 100 Janti Waterpark at Polanharjo sub-district in Central Java.


6. Gondang Outbound Educational Tour in Lamongan


This can be considered as the newest addition to tourism spots located in Lamongan, East Java. It combines the elements of education and nature.
