“We will focus on the underperforming indicators,” said Coordinating Minister of Economic Affairs Darmin Nasution on Monday, January 15. “This way, we can ensure that we can achieve a meaningful improvement this year.”

Darmin explained that the underperforming indicators essentially need to be fixed so that Indonesia can improve its position to 40th.

“It is our third year where we continuously improved our position in terms of ease of doing business. More or less, we will be able to figure it out,” said Darmin today.

World Bank’s latest report has placed Indonesia 72nd from 190 countries in the ease of doing business 2018. This achievement continues the previous year’s swift improvement where Indonesia’s position jumped from 106th to 91st.
