Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan Issues Instruction on DWP 2017

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan has issued an instruction on the controversial annual music event Djakarta Warehouse Project (DWP) 2017.
Anies Baswedan said that he has instructed Jakarta Tourism and Culture Department to dispatch personnel to ensure the DWP 2017 organizers comply with the rules.
“We will also ask the police to help secure the event and ensure all regulations in the Republic, in the capital city, be complied with,” the Governor said at Borobudur Hotel Jakarta on December 14.

Moreover, the Public Order Agency (Satpol PP) is told to oversee the DWP 2017.
Music festival DWP 2017 will be held for two days starting tonight at Jakarta International Expo, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta. Aside from performances by national and international musician, the event will also showcase Indonesian dance and culture.
The official website of the event says tonight event will feature Cesqeaux, David Gravell, Flume (DJ set), llan Bluestone, Marshmello, NWYR, Ookay, Purple Haze, R3HAB, Robin Schulz, Slander, Tiesto, Vini Vici, Zatox and Zeds Dead. Saturday’s performances will include Bassjackers, Desiigner, DVBBS, Flosstradamus, Galantis, Hardwell, Loco Dice, Richie Hawtin and Steve Aoki.
Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan said that he expects the organizer of DWP 2017 not to violate any rules. “We need everyone to abide by the bylaws,” he said.
