TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Iceland national football team plans to visit Indonesia on January 2018 to participate in the friendly match against the Indonesian national football team. Not only will the two teams compete, but Iceland will also transfer their football knowledge.

“We would like to hold a youth clinic, and secondly is to have a coaching workshop with the coaches,” said Marsal Masita, Deputy Secretary General of business development of the Indonesian Soccer Association (PSSI) on Wednesday, December 6.

Other than that, PSSI also hopes that Iceland would be willing to share their football development that is currently implemented in the country.

This series of events will be held between two friendly matches on January 11, and January 14, 2018. Every non-competition event will be held in Jakarta.

Iceland is said to be bringing their main squad, however, known football stars such as Everton, Gylfi Sigurdsson, will be absent considering that they must participate in the English Football League. However, Eidur Gudjohnsen will be arriving in Indonesia to participate in the events.
