TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan said that he will reassess the ongoing reclamation project, adding that the draft bylaw on North Jakarta coastal area spatial planning was earlier scrapped from the regional legislation program on November 22.
“We will reassess because the current situation is different than the previous one,” Anies Baswedan said on Monday at the City Hall. The Governor said that he wants to develop Jakarta coast based on the geopolitical, social, economic, environmental and cultural aspects.

Anies said that he will form a team to carry out the assessment to prepare a better draft bylaw.
He said that evaluation will not only be made on developers’ levy of 15 percent but also as a whole.
Furthermore, Anies Baswedan explained that he will not revise any specific articles in the draft bylaw. “We are not talking about one or two articles. We are talking about the whole management. Thereafter, we will interpret it into articles,” he said.
