TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan promises to shut down businesses with similar activities and operations to Alexis Hotel and Massage Parlor. The Capital investment and One-stop Service Office (DPMPTSP) did not extend Alexis's license due to alleged prostitution.
Anies said his administration would repeal the licenses of similar businesses using correct and systematic ways that are not against law and regulations.
"Today we have fulfilled our promise," he said on Monday evening, October 30.
According to Anies, the revocation of Alexis's business license is not the only program of his administration. He said he will continue to listen to citizens' report of suspected prostitution activities in their neighborhood.
The decision to discontinue Alexis' permit was issued by the DPMPTSP on October 27, 2017. Without its Tourism Business Certificate (TDUP), Alexis Hotel and Massage Parlor will no longer be able to operate legally in Jakarta.
