TNI to Celebrate 72nd Anniversary in Banten

TEMPO.CO Jakarta TNI Bersama Rakyat TNI Kuat or the TNI is strong with the support from the society. “The core strength of the TNI is with the people,” said General Gatot on October 3.
TNI Commander General Gatot Nurmantyo explains that the theme highlights the moment during Indonesia’s fight for independence where soldiers fought shoulder-to-shoulder with civilians.
The celebration will be held at the Port of Indah Kiat in Cilegon. Several events will enliven the anniversary celebration, starting with the flag ceremony, followed by the exhibition of various TNI primary defense systems (Alutsista), the show of Pencak Silat martial art done by TNI soldiers, and a joint exercise.
