TEMPO.CO, Bekasi - Persib Bandung fans are not allowed to attend the match against Persija Jakarta on November 3.

“Because the reconciliation process [between rival fans] has only begun so that it will take time to bring both sets of fans in the same stadium,” Persija Jakarta CEO Gede Widiade said today.

According to him, the Indonesian ‘El Clasico’ will be held at Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) stadium pending the administrator and the government’s approval. “We continue to coordinate with the GBK administrator and the Public Works Ministry,” he said.

The two parties will first inspect Patriot Candrabhaga Stadium in Bekasi for a feasibility study. They plan to find out the weaknesses of the stadium so that match organizers can prepare better at the GBK stadium. “On 20th [October], it will be decided whether the GBK may be used or not,” Gede said.

If not approved, Persija will play the match at Patriot Stadium also without Persib supporters.

Persija Jakarta currently ranked sixth in the table with 46 points from 27 matches, whereas Persib Bandung sit in 10th position with 36 points from 26 matches.
