TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Home Minister Tjahjo Kumolo affirmed that Indonesian government has exerted their maximum effort to take measures to help Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar.
"We have taken actions, not only diplomacy," he said in Semarang on Friday, September 8.
Tjahjo mentioned that Indonesian government has assigned Foreign Affiars Minister to reach out to ASEAN countries, members of UN, and European countries to work together to help resolve Rohingya crisis.
The measures taken, he continued, include providing aid to help ease the crisis and that is the best thing our government can do for the Rohingya ethnic group.
"What Jokowi declared and what Foreign Affairs Minister Retno conveyed in Myanmar and Bangladesh are to deliver Indonesians’ concerns on Rohingya," he said.
