TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The 3rd ASEAN Marketing Summit (AMS) 2017 has announced top 10 Indonesian brands. The event was held Wednesday, September 6.
The 10 brands are Aqua, Alfamart, Google, Youtube, Garuda Indonesia, Go-Jek, Indofood, Matahari Department Store, Unilever and Samsung.
Brand Asia conducted a survey on 80 global brands in ten Asian countries and observed the differences between brands in each region, which includes China, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, the Philippines, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam.
Aside from 80 global brands, Brand Asia also surveyed 40 local brands each in the 10 regions. The survey was conducted from February to May.
The brand strength analysis was based on four pillars: friendly, convenient, outstanding and innovative. The assessment was also made based on corporate social responsibility, brand loyalty, and media engagement.
AMS 2017 is a platform that brought together academicians and leading practitioners with different industrial and corporate backgrounds.
“ASEAN started from G2G [government to government], followed by B2B [business to business], and then P2P [people to people] with social and cultural spirit,” said a co-founder of Philip Kotler Center for ASEAN Marketing, Hermawan Kertajaya.
Last but not least, he added, M2M (Marketers to Marketers), for whom ASEAN Marketing Summit was held for the third time.
