Jokowi: Bocimi Toll Road To be Completed in Two Years

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Government plans to complete the construction of transportation infrastructure in Sukabumi including double track railway, toll roads, and airport as Jokowi shared in his speech in Sukabumi, West Java on Friday (1/9).


The president and the first lady Iriana were accompanied by West Java Governor Ahmad Heryawan and his wife Netty Prasetiyani Heryawan.


Regarding the construction of Bogor-Ciawi-Sukabumi (Bocimi) toll road, Jokowi confirmed that in will complete in the next two years. "One and a half years ago, I decided this project to be taken over by state-owned enterprise (BUMN) and it was immediately kicked off at that time. Insyaallah (God willing) it will complete in two years. I will continue to monitor the progress," he said.


Meanwhile, for the construction of double track railway Bogor – Sukabumi, President confirmed that it will bein soon. "I took the train (to Sukabumi) yesterday while monitoring. Insyaallah (God willing) the track construction from Bogor to Sukabumi will begin this year. The following year, the construction will continue with the route Sukabumi-Cianjur-Kota Bandung," Jokowi explained.


Jokowi mentioned that the budget of the railway route Bogor - Sukabumi is about Rp 400 billion. He also confirmed that the construction of double track railway of Sukabumi – Cianjur – Bandung planned to begin next year will finish in 2019.
