TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) left for Germany on Thursday evening, July 6, after visiting Turkey.
President Jokowi and First Lady Iriana left Ankara's Esenboga Havalimani airport at 6:45 pm after completing all his agendas in his two-day state visit to Turkey.
Jokowi made the state visit to Turkey following President Erdogan’s visit to Jakarta in 2015. At the time Indonesia and Turkey strengthened commitments for cooperation between the two countries in various fields.
President Joko Widodo said that it was an honor for him to be able to meet the invitation of President Erdogan to visit Turkey.
President Jokowi also accompanied by foreign minister Retno Marsudi, cabinet secretary Pramono Anung and the head of Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) Thomas Lembong will attend G20 Summit in Hamburg, Germany.
