Obama to Visit Borobudur, Prambanan Temples in Yogyakarta

TEMPO.CO, Yogyakarta - The management of Borobudur and Prambanan Temples is ready to welcome the 44th United States President Barack Hussein Obama. The Military Command Area has prepared a VVIP security at Adisutjipto Airport.
The secretary company of Borobudur, Prambanan and Ratu Boko park management Ahmad Mukhlis hoped Obama’s visit to the temples would strengthen the support for the preservation of the world’s history. Obama and his family will be traveling in Yogyakarta on June 28-30 after previously spent holidays in Bali.
"In 2014, Obama and his family were actually about to visit Borobudur, however only his sibling came. We’re now ready for his arrival," Mukhlis said Tuesday, June 27.

Borobudur and Prambanan temples are the tourists’ favorite spots. Hundreds of thousands of visitor flock the historical sites during long holidays. Various of cultural attractions will be performed during Obama’s visit.
The temple’s management has prepared a souvenir book of the Borobudur, Prambanan and Ratu Boko temples, as well as a testimony page for Obama’s visit.
"We have prepared a VVIP-level of security. We will not close other tourist sites but we may only block the road when Obama and his entourage come," he said.
The Military Command Area has yet to confirm on the arrival of Obama to Yogyakarta. Meanwhile, the preparation on welcoming the former US president at Adisutjipto Airport is ready.
