Police Investigate Member on One Family Shooting Case

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Chief of Lubuk Linggau Police Resort Hajat Mabrur Bujangga, stated that the agency is currently investigating one of their members, Brigadier K, related to the shooting incident toward a family in Rejang Lebong, Bengkulu Province on Tuesday, April 18, 2017.
“The investigation on Brigadier K is ongoing, we haven’t reached a conclusion considering that it’s still ongoing,” said Hajat Mabrur on Wednesday, April 19, 2017. Therefore, the institution cannot confirm about the form of punishment that the police member might receive.
The Chief of Lubuk Linggau Police Resort was accompanied by Deputy Regent Iqbal Bastari and Rejang Lebong Police Chief Yogi Yusuf when visiting the victim’s family.
Hajat said that the police will provide medical assistance for the victims.
Previously on Tuesday, April 18, 2017, a family from Rejang Lebong District were about to pass a police check point in Lubuk Linggau City on 11:00. But as they came closer to the check point, instead of stopping, the car kept on accelerating almost causing harm for other people.
A member of the police then fired shots at the car which killed one person and injured other five passengers.
