TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Out with the old, in with the new. So goes an old saying about the comings and goings of rulers. So be it. The people have spoken and chosen their leader. Let us hope he fulfills all the promises he made to make the capital city a better place to live in, in peace and prosperity. “All those who support us, why they support us, is because they approve of our promises. That is what we will do, fulfill those promises, not (accommodate) the agenda (of our backers),” said Jakarta Governor-Elect Anies Baswedan, as reported by Koran Tempo. Until the next election, people will just have to wait and see.
