Floods Hit 3 Districts in Bandung; 500 Households Displaced

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - At least three districts in Bandung regency on Saturday (18/3) were hit by floods after river from the nearby Citarum river overflew.
The three districts affected are Dayeuhkolot district, Baleendah district, and Bojongsoang district.
"The rain from Saturday morning has made floodwater in those three districts reach 60-1.2 meters,” said Dadang Wahidin, Coordinator of Mitigation Team of Bandung Regency Dadang Wahidin, on Saturday.
He added that last week, floods in those three districts receded but due to the rain that hit Bandung and its surrounding areas, level of the floodwater rose again.
"Since 3 am, the residents who have returned to their house had to take shelter again today due to the flood,” he said.
He estimated that the floods had displaced around 500 households in those districts.
