Google Doodle Features 13 World`s Most Influential Women

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Google Doodle is celebrating the 2017 International Women’s Day. This time, Google created a slide show featuring images of women of various races and professions.


The Google Doodle tells a tale of a little girl who visits 13 remarkable women in her imagination, taking the readers along on a journey that spans centuries and circles the globe.

The women have been published by Google Doodle in each of their own countries. Now, Google is featuring them globally in order to share their experiences with everyone.

Painter and activist from Mexico.

A Brazilian architect who was born in Italy.

Soviet scientist & researcher in the field of deaf & blind communication.


6. Miriam Makeba


Singer and civil rights activist from South Africa.


7. Sally Ride


American astronaut & the first American woman in space.


8. Halet Cambel


Turkish archaeologist and the first Muslim female participating in the Olympics.


9. Ada Lovelace


A math expert, writer, and the world’s first computer programmer from England.


10. Rukmini Devi


An Indian dancer that is famous for reemerging the Indian classical dance.


11. Cecilia Grierson


Argentine physician, reformer, & the first woman in Argentina to receive a medical degree.


12. Lee Tai-young


Korean lawyer & activist who was Korea’s first female lawyer & judge.


13. Suzanne Lenglen


French tennis champion who popularized the sport.
