TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Health Minister Nila F. Moeloek stressed the importance of cooperation among ministries to improve Indonesia’s Human Development Index (HDI).
Although Indonesia’s HDI has improved, the country’s index is still ranked 108 out of 187 countries in the world, Nila said.
The minister added that cooperation among ministries such as Home Affairs Ministry, Sport and Youth Ministry, Public Work and Public Housing Ministry, and Health Ministry, could improve the country’s HDI.
“Human development is basically an effort to humanize humans. Health Ministry needs support from other ministries," she added in North Sumatera on Saturday (18/2).
The minister added that health level of the people in a region is also the responsibility of the regional leader.
