TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Nachrowi Ramli, Chief of Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono-Sylviana Murni camoaign team stated that a certain political party currently supporting the Anies-Sandi pair had offered them a chance to form a coalition to face the Jakarta Gubernatorial Election runoff. "We'll study [the offer] first," Nachrowi said on Wednesday, February 15, 2017.

Nachrowi however, refused to mention the identity of the person who offered the coalition. Nevertheless, Nachrowi said that the Democratic Party will study Anies-Sandi's goals before making any decision

Based on the results of a number of electoral quick counts, the candidates that are eligible to participate in the second round of Jakarta Gubernatorial Election are Anies Baswedan - Sandiaga Uno (Anies – Sandi) and Basuki "Ahok" Tjahaja Purnama - Djarot Saiful Hidayat (Ahok – Djarot).

Nachrowi stated that a coalition can only be formed if the candidates share the same goal. “If we form an alliance with one of the candidates, what's important is that our goals must be the same," Nachrowi said.
