TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) announced that the export value in December 2016 reached US$13.77 billion. The figure represents a monthly increase of 1.99 percent and a 15.57-percent annual increase.
BPS chief Suhariyanto said the export increase in December was attributable to the rise of non-oil exports by 1.13 percent to US$12.54 billion.
According to Suhariyanto, non-oil exports declined in volume, but the value rose; indicating a price hike in international markets.
