TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The House of Representatives' former speaker Ade Komarudin challenged the House's Ethics Council (MKD) to reveal his violations to public following his ethical violation sanction at the two cases processed by the MKD.
“What I want is the public knows that what [MKD] has done was a mistake. Everyone knows what I did wasn’t wrong,” Ade said on Monday, December 5, 2016.
MKD decided that Ade had conducted an ethical violation in two cases. MKD Chairman SufmiDascoAhmad said that Ade was committed a minor ethical violation for shifting a number of state-owned enterprises (BUMN) with the State Capital Injection (PMN) disbursement to be the working partners of the House's Finance Commission.
Another minor ethical violation has Ade did, Sufmi said, was slowing down the discussion process of the Tobacco Draft Bill.
Ade rejected the MKD’s accusations. According to him, it was not based on his personal decision but the House Leaders' collective collegial ruling. “Why am I the only one getting charged?” he said.
