TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Police Public Relations chief Insp. Gen. Boy Rafli Amar said that police have named seven people as suspects in Oikumene Church blast in Samarinda.
“There are seven suspects. The next step will be the preparation of case dossier to [be handed over to] the court,” Boy said in Senen, Central Jakarta, on Sunday, November 20, 2016.
Boy said that the seven suspects are linked to ISIS. “[Based on] documents, symbols, and evidence we have found, we can make the conclusion [it is linked to ISIS].”
He, however, went on to say that they only sympathized with ISIS. They wanted to join the fighters in Syria and Iraq. “They implemented it in Indonesia,” Boy said.
Earlier on November 13, a man allegedly hurled a Molotov cocktail in front of Oikumene Church in Samarinda.
The blast left four toddlers wounded, one of whom died the following day.
