Sembilan Beach Begins to Lure International Tourists

TEMPO.CO, Sumenep - Sembilan beach in Sumenep District, East Java, has begun to attract international tourists.


"Not so long ago, we were called by a management representative of one of international travel agents telling us that there will be eight groups of international tourists visiting Sembilan beach in 2017," Head of Culture, Tourism, Youth, and Sport Agency Sumenep District Sufiyanto on Sunday (23/10).


"They will only visit Sembilan beach. They will ride their cruise ship and they will dock in Giligenting and they will get on rubber boats to get to Sembilan beach," He added.


This new tourism site located on Bringsang village of Giligenting island offers several attractions. Among others, it has white sand basin with the shape of number nine in aerial view. It also has stunning sunset. The beach grows in popularity because social media help sharing pictures taken by tourists.
