TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Ministry of Justice and Human Rights Yasonna H. Laoly held a discussion with leaders and employees of the ministry’s offices in 33 regions through a teleconference on Thursday, October 20, 2016.
Yasonnaconducted the discussion through four monitors in the Control Room at the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights office and the regional ministry officials were at the international airport in each region.
He delivered instructions on the activity held by the Services and Law Enforcement of Intellectual Property called 'Sympathy Act and Care for Intellectual Property' that was held across the country simultaneously.
“We try to make a commitment on rejecting imitation commodities in Indonesia. Indonesia rejects fake products,” Yasonna said.
“We have a huge potential in the field of intellectual creation. But when an artist just made an album, for example, a few days later (the pirated versions) will show up in malls,” he added.
General Director for Intellectual Property Aidir Amin Daud said that the Sympathy Act and Care for Intellectual Property movement is one of a series of commemoration for Dharma Karyadhika Day held by the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights.
“We hope this movement will make the people aware to stop buying, using, especially producing imitation products,” Aidir said. According to him, the value of fake products is not worth the price.
