Tax Amnesty Reported Assets Reaches Rp1,013tn

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The tax amnesty program continues to show excellent progress. As of today, September 20, the total amount of assets reported via the tax amnesty has reached Rp1,103.02 trillion.


The Tax Directorate General announced via its website that those assets were reported by 88,983 taxpayers.


The amount of the reported domestic assets reached Rp705 trillion while the Indonesian taxpayers' overseas assets are Rp253 trillion.


The tax amnesty program has so far repatriated Rp55.1 trillion worth of Indonesians' assets. The tax retribution paid by taxpayers who join the program has reached Rp23.98 trillion.


Based on those numbers, the state has pooled-in a total revenue of Rp32.07 trillion from the tax amnesty program as of today.


The tax amnesty program has been going on for two months since it was first rolled out when the Tax Amnesty Law was passed on July 19. From the amnesty, the government is targeting a revenue of Rp165 trillion as posted in the 2016 Revised State Budget.
