Jakarta to Host IFFPIE

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The International Film Festival for Peace, Inspiration and Equality (IFFPIE) will be held in Jakarta to celebrate the International Day of Peace, which falls on September 21.
Damien Dematra, Founder and Director of the IFFPIE, said that in its five years of existence, the festival had received thousands of films across the globe to be screened, and is considered to be one of the world’s biggest film festival.
"The IFFPIE's main goal is to promote films that can change the world, either on a small or large scale," Damien said on Tuesday, September 13, 2016, as quoted by Bisnis.com
Teenage director and Ambassador for Peace Natasha Dematra, added that the return of the IFFPIE showed that the number of international filmmakers attempting to promote peace through films continues to increase.
