Tax Amnesty Retribution Reaches Rp2.69tn

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Tax Directorate General announced that the tax amnesty program has pulled in Rp2.69 trillion retribution as of Wednesday, August 31.


The Tax DG's director of services, education, and public relations Hestu Yoga Saksama said the retribution fee total comprises of Rp2.25 trillion from non-SME individual taxpayers and Rp263 billion from non-SMEs corporate taxpayers.


Meanwhile, the retribution paid by SME individual taxpayers reached Rp166 billion, and SME corporate taxpayers had paid Rp7.42 billion in retribution.


Hestu said the retribution paid came from the declared and repatriated assets, which have reached Rp128.94 trillion in total. From the amount of declared assets, Rp101 trillion are domestic assets and Rp18.4 trillion are overseas assets.


The total amount of repatriated funds per August 31 has reached Rp9.6 trillion.


The tax amnesty program started on July 19, with the government targeting an income of Rp165 trillion as set in the 2016 Revised State Budget.
