"Education is the future investment of a nation, and can have a huge impact towards the country's development, and Indonesia has that potential, [the education sector] budget might need to be increased," Blake said at Wisma Antara Jakarta on Monday, July 18, 2016.

As his term draws to a close, Ambassador Blake provided insights focusing on educational issues. Blake asserted that Indonesia needs to improve its education to meet with international standards.

Blake also suggested that Indonesia needs to establish stronger international relationship, particularly in the Asia Pacific region.

"Indonesia's [geographical location] in the Asia Pacific is very strategic and provides certain advantages. If Indonesia can establish stronger ties, it would be economically beneficial," Blake said.
