Over 23,600 People Visit Bogor Botanical Garden

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - A total of 23,607 visitors, including 74 foreigners, visited Bogor Botanical Garden on Saturday.
"We have predicted that there would be a significant increase in the number of visitors in the weekend, before the Eid al-Fitr Islamic Holiday ends," Upun Panipar of the botanical garden said on Sunday.
On the Eid day (July 6), as many as 4,515 domestic visitors and 90 foreign tourists visited the garden. On Thursday (July 7), the garden received 12,725 domestic and 77 foreign visitors; and on Friday, there were 11,945 domestic and 82 foreign visitors.
The Bogor Botanical Garden is a home to thousands of flora, including several trees which are hundreds of years old.
The first botanical garden in Indonesia is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. local time daily.
