TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Governor Basuki "Ahok" Tjahaja Purnama said that he will continue to apply the 3-in-1 policy on the Capital's thoroughfares. However, the policy will only applied in the afternoon and in the evening.

"We will apply the 3-in-1 policy during the evening, because when we temporarily removed the policy, everyone just get on the road after office hours. Therefore, we will apply the policy in the evening," Ahok said at the City Hall on Tuesday, May 3, 2016.

Ahok said the decision will be made official on May 15, 2016. In addition, Ahok said that he will eradicate 3-in-1 jockeys who often waited near office complex around the capital.

Previously on April 14, 2016, the Jakarta Transportation Agency has started a trial on the removal of 3-in-1 policy. Chief of the Agency Andri Yansyah, said that the trial will run for four weeks.

Andri added that the final decision related to the 3-in-1 policy will be delivered later after the trial period ends.
