TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - During the Association Cambiste Internationale Summit on Friday, April 29, 2016, Financial Services Authority (OJK) chairman Muliaman Hadad asked banks to be actively involved in financing priority sectors "in a bid to boost the economic growth."
As a G-20 member, Muliaman added, Indonesia was also committed to maintaining regulations consistency, particularly in the financial sector.
"This year, Indonesia will be reviewed by G-20 members, particularly in terms of regulations consistency," Muliawan said on Friday, April 29, 2016.
According to Muliaman, companies in the financial sector must improve their capacity to maintain the consistency.
"The OJK will align and adopt various regulations as a consequence of being a G-20 member," Muliaman said.
Muliaman hopes that the ACI would have similar commitment to prioritizing the stability of the financial system by improving the understanding on financial instruments.
"Therefore, we appreciate the ACI for adopting code of conduct from various instruments," Muliaman added.
Earlier on Friday, April 29, 2016, the 55th Association Cambiste International-Financial Market Association (ACI-FMA) congress was opened. The congress, themed "Value in Diversity" is a forum for financial professionals across the world to build network and discuss today’s business opportunities and challenges.
