1,100 Dengue Fever Cases Reported in Bekasi

TEMPO.CO , Bekasi - Bekasi City Government reported that the number of dengue fever patients in the city in the period of 2016 (January – March) has reached 1,100 people.
At least 17 of them have died.
Nevertheless, the city government has not declared extraordinary situation.
Official from Bekasi Health Agency Tetty Manurung said that dengue fever cases have significantly increased compared to the same period in 2015.
"Last year, there was a total of 1,006 cases and now it’s still March but the number of cases has already reached 1,100 cases. Majority of the patients are children,” Tetty said on Sunday.
She added that February saw most cases, in which around 500 cases were reported, while in January there were 300 cases and the rest were reported in March.
