TEMPO.CO, Bandung - Head of West Java Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappeda), Deny Juanda Puradimaja said that the plan to build Disneyland has been listed on Kota Raya Walini plan. It will be developed alongside Bandung-Jakarta high-speed rail link by state-owned enterprises consortium.
“It’s a real Disneyland,” said Deny in Bandung on Friday, November 11.
Kota Raya Walini, Deny said, becomes a part of Bandung-Jakarta fast train project. In addition to be the transit place, the Walini city will also be designed as satellite city west of Bandung. Deny also revealed that West Java provincial government is planning to relocate its administration center to this city.
Regarding the exact size of the land allocated for tourism attraction, Deny said he is yet to be sure. He believes, however, that the upcoming Disneyland will be the icon of the new city,
“Every tourism destination has its icon,” Deny said.
