TEMPO.CO , Bogor -Law and Human Rights Minister Yasonna Laoly said that security on Gunung Sindur Penitentiary has been improved with additional personnel from the Police and the National Narcotics Agency.
Upon visiting the facility, Minister Yasonna on Wednesday, October 14, he claimed that the security is strict enough. Therefore, the notion of relocating tax fraud inmate Gayus Tambunan to Nusakambangan might just be canceled.
The drug crime penitentiary is set to be of Super Maximum Security. Gunung Sindur Penitentiary has the maximum capacity of 1,308 inmates. It now shelters 456 inmates, including the notorious walking-out inmate, Gayus.
"Starting October 30, we will have additional force from the police and BNN. The additional personnel will help security in the facility," said the minister.
