Saudi Arabia Aramco to Make US$ 10Bln Investment in Indonesia

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Aramco, a Saudi Arabian oil company, has expressed their commitment to make investment worth US$ 10 billion in Indonesia.


Cabinet Secretary Pramono Agung on Saturday (13/9) at King Faisal Palace, Jeddah, told reporters that the investment commitment was in the form of building refineries, depot (storage), and building a distribution system.


"One of the things discussed during the meeting with the Saudi Arabian Finance Minister was the intention from Aramco to build refineries and storage and a distribution system in Indonesia," Pramono said.


Pramono added that in the past few months, the government had prepared new regulations that enable private sectors to build refineries and storage.
