TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Maritime and Fisheries Ministry held a national coordination meeting on Thursday, September 10, 2015, at Hotel Sahid, Jakarta, with all fisheries stakeholders.

“The meeting will discuss the current Maritime and Fisheries Ministry’s activities and an agenda to be executed in 2016 to support the development,” Lilly Aprilya, head of the center for statistics data and information at the Maritime and Fisheries Ministry, told Tempo.

According to Lilly, the meeting would be attended by all agency heads across the country both at the provincial and regency/city levels, business owners and maritime and fishery associations. Through the meeting, the Ministry and stakeholders were expected to align their perceptions about the development agenda in 2016.

Lilly said that Bank Indonesia Governor Agus Martowardoyo would also attend the meeting to sign a memorandum of understanding to improve the fishery industry and provide business owners with an opportunity to expand their businesses.
